COURSES OFFERED BY THE CENTRAL AMERICAN MARITIME TRAINING CENTER (EMCA)

Maritime Safety Basic Course (Regulation VI / 1 STCW 78/95)

This is a course that provides the minimum requirements for familiarization and basic instruction on safety issues for seafarers.聽 Students receive appropriate training in:

  • Personal survival techniques
  • Proficiency Elementary First Aid
  • Personal safety and social responsibilities
  • Fire Prevention and Basic fire fighting

Este es un curso b谩sico para recibir otro curso de especialidad en la Escuela Mar铆tima Centroamericana.

Curso de Marinero de Cubierta (Regla II/4 STCW 78/95)

Este curso da la instrucci贸n necesaria sobre los requisitos m铆nimos para los marineros que forman parte de la guardia de navegaci贸n de un buque. Toda persona que haya aprobado el Curso B谩sico de Seguridad Mar铆tima puede matricularse en este curso.

Curso de Marinero de Maquinas (Regla III/4 STCW 78/95)

Este curso da la instrucci贸n necesaria sobre los requisitos m铆nimos para los marineros que forman parte de la guardia de m谩quinas de un buque. Toda persona que haya aprobado el Curso B谩sico de Seguridad Mar铆tima puede matricularse en este curso.

Curso de Control de Multitudes (Regla V/2, V/3 STCW 78/95)

Contempla los requisitos m铆nimos para la formaci贸n de capitanes, oficiales y marineros, que ejerzan funciones en buques de pasaje de transbordo rodado (Regla V/2) o en buques de pasaje que no sean de transbordo rodado (Regla V/3). Toda persona que haya aprobado el Curso B谩sico de Seguridad Mar铆tima puede matricularse en este curso.

Curso de Manejo de Embarcaciones de Supervivencia y Botes de Rescates No R谩pidos (Regla VI/2 STCW 78/95)

En este curso se instruye al personal en el manejo de embarcaciones de supervivencia y botes de rescate que no sean botes de rescate r谩pido.

Curso de Familiarizaci贸n de Buques Tanque

Este programa de estudios ha sido dise帽ado para cumplir con lo descrito en el Capitulo V, Regla V/1, Secci贸n A-V/1, p谩rrafos del 2 al 7, del Convenio STCW 78/95 y que establece los requisitos m铆nimos de formaci贸n y competencia para los capitanes, oficiales y marineros de buques tanque.


Curso de Formaci贸n sobre Buques Petroleros

Este programa de de estudios ha sido dise帽ado para cumplir con lo descrito en el Capitulo V, Regla V/1, Secci贸n A-V/1, p谩rrafos del 9 al 14,聽 del Convenio STCW 78/95 y que establece el programa de formaci贸n especializada correspondiente a las tareas a bordo de buques petroleros.

Curso de Formaci贸n sobre Buques Quimiqueros.

Este programa de estudios ha sido dise帽ado para cumplir con lo descrito en el Capitulo V, Regla V/1, Secci贸n A-V/1, p谩rrafos del 16 al 21,聽 del Convenio STCW 78/95 y que establece el programa de formaci贸n especializada correspondiente a las tareas a bordo de buques petroleros.

Curso de Formaci贸n sobre Buques Tanque para el Transporte de Gas Licuado

Este programa de estudios ha sido dise帽ado para cumplir con lo descrito en el Capitulo V, Regla V/1, Secci贸n A-V/1, p谩rrafos del 23 al 34,聽 del Convenio STCW 78/95 y que establece el programa de formaci贸n especializada correspondiente a las tareas a bordo de buques petroleros.

Curso en T茅cnicas Avanzadas de Lucha Contra Incendios

Este programa de estudios ha sido dise帽ado para cumplir con lo descrito en el Cap铆tulo VI, Regla VI/3, Secci贸n A-VI/3,聽聽 del Convenio STCW 78/95 y que establece la formaci贸n m铆nima obligatoria en t茅cnicas avanzadas de lucha contra incendios.

Curso de Protecci贸n de Buques e Instalaciones Portuarias (PBIP).

Este programa de estudios ha sido dise帽ado para cumplir con lo descrito en el Convenio SOLAS y es requisito para todos los tripulantes de buques de arqueo bruto igual o mayor de 500 que realicen navegaci贸n internacional.

Curso Avanzado para Oficiales

Este curso fue dise帽ado para brindar a los Capitanes, Oficiales de Puente, Jefes de Maquinas, y Oficiales de Maquinas titulados de conformidad con el convenio STCW 78, el聽 proceso que les permita obtener su certificado de competencia de conformidad con el convenio STCW 78/95,

Cursos M贸viles

La Escuela Mar铆tima Centroamericana realiza cursos m贸viles en diversas localidades del territorio nacional. Entre los cuales se encuentran:

  • Curso B谩sico Mar铆timo
  • Curso Control de Multitudes
  • Curso Marinero de Cubierta
  • Curso Marinero de M谩quina
  • Curso Protecci贸n Instalaciones Portuarias

This is a course that provides the minimum requirements for familiarization and basic instruction on safety issues for seafarers. Students receive appropriate training in:

  • Personal survival techniques
  • Proficiency Elementary First Aid
  • Personal safety and social responsibilities
  • Fire Prevention and Basic fire fighting

This is a basic course to receive another course of specialization in the Central American Maritime Training Center.

Watch keeping for Deck Rating (Regulation II / 4 STCW 78/95)

This course provides the necessary instruction on the minimum requirements for ratings working in a navigational watch of a ship. Any person who has passed the Maritime Safety Basic Course may enroll in this course.

Rating forming part of the Engine Room Watch (Regulation III / 4 STCW 78/95)

This course provides the necessary instruction on the minimum requirements for ratings forming part of the engineering watch on a ship. Any person who has passed the Maritime Safety Basic Course may enroll in this course.

Crowd Management Leadership (Regulation V / 2, V / 3 STCW 78/95)

Provides the minimum requirements for training of masters, officers and sailors, who performs functions on passenger ships of RO-RO (Rule V / 2) or on passenger ships other than RO-RO (Rule V / 3). Any person who has passed the Maritime Safety Basic Course may enroll in this course.

Survival Craft and Rescue Boats Course (Rule VI / 2 STCW 78/95)

This course instructs the staff in the handling of survival craft and rescue boats other than fast rescue boats.

Oil Tanker Familiarization

This curriculum has been designed to comply with those described in Chapter V, Regulation V / 1, Section AV / 1, paragraphs 2 to 7 of the STCW 78/95 Convention, which establishes the minimum requirements for training and competition for captains, officers and ratings on tankers.

Specialized Training for Oil Tanker

This study program has been designed to comply with those described in Chapter V, Regulation V / 1, Section AV / 1, paragraphs 9 to 14, the STCW 78/95 Convention, which establishes the specialized training program for tasks aboard oil tankers.

Specialized Training for Chemical Tankers

This curriculum has been designed to comply with those described in Chapter V, Regulation V / 1, Section AV / 1 paragraph 16 to 21, the STCW 78/95 Convention, which establishes the specialized training program for the tasks aboard chemical tankers.

Specialized Training for Tanker for the Transportation of Liquefied Gas

This curriculum has been designed to comply with those described in Chapter V, Regulation V / 1, Section AV / 1 paragraph 23 to 34 of the STCW 78/95 Convention, which establishes the specialized training program for the tasks aboard LPG tankers.

Advanced Training in Fire Fighting

This curriculum has been designed to comply with those described in Chapter VI, Rule VI / 3, Section A-VI / 3 of the STCW 78/95 Convention, which establishes mandatory minimum training in advanced fire fighting.

Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS)

This curriculum has been designed to comply with those described in the SOLAS Convention and is required for all ship鈥檚 crew with gross tonnage equal to or more than 500 tons for international navigation.

Advanced Officer Course

This course has been designed to give the Captains, mates, chief engineer, and engineer officers qualified in accordance with the STCW 78 Convention, the process that allows them to obtain their certificate of competency under STCW 78/95 Convention; Medical Care, Advanced Fire Fighting, Survival Craft & Rescue boats.

  • Rating forming part of the Engine Room Watch
